What is Star Clicker?

Star Clicker is a free browser clicker game where you tap or click the night sky to gather "Light" and watch the starry sky slowly take shape.

No downloads or registration required. Simply open the page on your mobile or desktop browser and start playing instantly.
It is perfect for players who enjoy "clicker games," or for anyone looking for a relaxing tap game to play during their spare time.

Basic Controls

The game screen is divided into two main areas: the Night Sky Area and the Upgrades Area.

Night Sky Area

Tap the moon, stars, or the sky in the Night Sky Area to manually gather Light.

Purchase Upgrades

Buy upgrades using gathered Light to gradually increase your efficiency in collecting Light.

How to Collect Light

Light is the main energy resource in this game. You can collect it in two ways:

Tapping

Tap anywhere in the Night Sky Area to gain Light. This is useful at the beginning, as well as during temporary bonuses like Twinkling Stars.

Automatic Production

Purchase structures from the Upgrades Area to produce Light automatically every second as long as the game page is open.

Sky Building & Upgrades

Gathered Light is spent on purchasing items in "Sky Building" or "Upgrades". Buying them allows you to collect Light more efficiently.
The purchase panel is divided into "Sky Building" and "Upgrades" tabs.

Sky Building (Basic Purchases)

Repeatedly purchase and level up items such as "Moon Drop" for tap boosts, "Star Fragment," and colored stars like "Red Star" (for automatic production).

Upgrades (Special Enhancements)

One-time special enhancements unlocked by meeting specific conditions (e.g., reaching item levels). They grant tap multipliers, structure multipliers, and unlock Meteors or Twinkling Stars. An "!" badge appears on the tab when new upgrades are available.

Start a New Night (Dawn)

Once you have gathered enough Light, you can start a "New Night" (also referred to as Dawn) from the settings menu.

What is reset: Your current Light, Sky Building levels, and purchased Upgrades.

What is kept: Achievements (Trophies) unlocked, lifetime Stats, constellations discovered, Observatory research, and Stardust.

Starting a new night yields Stardust, based on the total amount of Light you accumulated. Starting a new night to gather Stardust makes your next night much easier to progress.

Stardust

Stardust is a special resource gained by starting a new night (Dawn).
It is used to buy permanent upgrades in the Observatory and gradually improve your progress.

Observatory Research

In the Observatory modal, you can spend Stardust to conduct research that gradually improves your progression efficiency.
By conducting research, you can upgrade the amount of Light gained per tap, automatic production rates, and the amount of Stardust earned from starting a New Night (Dawn).

  • Astronomical Telescope: Boosts the amount of Light gained per tap.
  • Observation Satellite: Increases the production rate of all automatic structures.
  • Stardust Observation: Increases the amount of Stardust you receive when starting a new night.

Twinkling Stars

While playing, a Twinkling Star will randomly shoot across the night sky.
Tap it before it disappears to trigger a random temporary boost:

  • Instant Light: Instantly awards a large amount of Light based on your current production speed.
  • Tap Boost: Multiplies your tap power by a large factor for a short duration.
  • Production Boost: Multiplies your automatic production rate for a short duration.

Save System

Star Clicker has an autosave feature. Your game progress is saved automatically in your browser's "Local Storage" on every action.

Important Notes:

  • Saved data is tied to your browser. Clearing your browser cache or site data will delete your save data.
  • Transferring saves between different devices (e.g., from PC to phone) or different browsers is not supported.
  • Playing in private browsing mode (Incognito) might cause your save data to disappear when the tab is closed.

Playing on Mobile vs. PC

PC (Windows/Mac)

Play using your mouse. No keyboard shortcuts are required; you can control everything with clicks.

Mobile & Tablet

Play with touch controls. The interface is optimized for vertical screens, letting you play comfortably with one hand.
