Nice to meet you. Lunest Games is a browser game site that I am building little by little on my own.

Here in Notes, I would like to share not only game update information but also development and operation records, as well as my current thoughts. In this first article, I will share why I started this website and the background behind creating Star Clicker as the very first game.

I Love Games That Build Up

I love clicker and incremental games, represented by well-known titles like Cookie Clicker. These games allow you to progress at your own pace, yet they provide a great sense of accomplishment as you grow stronger, watch numbers increase, and unlock achievements. Before you know it, you might find yourself playing for hours.

I really like how things gradually stack up, including the satisfying feeling of progress.

While playing these games, I started thinking, “I want to create this kind of build-up game within a world that I love.” I believe the true charm of browser games lies in the ability to adjust and refine them based on player feedback, rather than just releasing them and being done.

Creating a Quiet Place to Relax and Play at Night

I often play games during quiet moments at night. Because of this, I built Lunest Games around the concept of relaxing and playing at a quiet time of night.

At Lunest Games, I want to prioritize a calming atmosphere you would want to open at night, rather than flashy, fast-paced action.

A game site you feel like opening when you have a quiet moment at night. I hope this site becomes that kind of place.

With that concept in mind, I would also like to try making puzzle games or story-driven games in the future.

Why I Started with Star Clicker

Since this was my first time creating a browser game, I wanted to start with a clicker game that has simple controls. Clicker games are highly scalable, making it easy to add various elements and original features in future updates, which also influenced my decision.

Drawing from the image of “night” mentioned in the previous section, I decided to make a clicker game themed around gathering light in the night sky, which led to the creation of Star Clicker.

Star Clicker is a game where you collect Light by clicking and slowly brighten the night sky with stars. I hope to grow it into something you can play for a long time by adding more features step-by-step.

The Future of Lunest Games

As mentioned in another section, our concept is relaxing and playing at a quiet time of night, so I would like to add browser games where you aren’t rushed into fast actions.

For example, I would love to challenge myself with games that change gradually over time, like tower defense, city building, or simple RTS (Real-Time Strategy) games. I hope to make them relaxed games that can be enjoyed at your own pace.

That said, my priority for now is to update Star Clicker repeatedly to make it something that can be enjoyed long-term.

Also, I want to make our games playable regardless of language. Starting with Japanese and English, I hope to gradually create an environment that is accessible to players worldwide.

Closing Thoughts

Lunest Games is still a very small site that has just begun its development. I am currently working through trial and error, slowly adding games and Notes.

I will keep updating the site step-by-step, so I would be delighted if you could play Star Clicker first. We also share updates on X, so please feel free to check it out if you are interested in the updates or the atmosphere of the games we want to create.

I will keep moving forward slowly, and I appreciate your warm support.
